THR reports that Soul Men helmer Malcolm D. Lee is on board to direct LeBron James in the movie Fantasy Basketball Camp, a sports comedy which Peter Steinfeld – who’s written scripts for Be Cool, Analyze That and 21 – has been contracted to write a new screenplay for.
Fantasy Basketball Camp was originally written by Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz, and centers on five men who come to Las Vegas to live out their fantasy by attending the LeBron James Adult Basketball Camp only to end up dragging the Cleveland Cavaliers’ superstar into their various life issues.
Imagine Entertainment’s Michael Rosenberg and Kim Roth will producer the project alongside James and Maverick Carter of LeBron Inc.
