Harsh Road to Go

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Christian Bale, Eva Longoria and Freddy Rodriguez have agreed to star in Harsh Times, a low-budget indie feature, that will be directed by the writer of Training Day.

The paper reports that the story is set in South Central Los Angeles and revolves around two men, played by Bale and Rodriguez. Longoria (Desperate Housewives) will play Rodriguez’s girlfriend. Shooting apparently began yesterday.

Bale, who is currently appearing in The Machinist, will play the Dark Knight in Batman Begins next summer.

Harsh Times writer/director David Ayer, also wrote The Fast and the Furious, Dark Blue and S.W.A.T.
