Ernie Hudson (The Crow, Oz) has joined NBC’s drama series Heroes as a regular cast member, according to THR. He will play a Baltimore police detective named Captain Lubbock, who is on the hunt for one of the other characters on the show.
The upcoming fourth season of Heroes will also introduce a major new mythology about a traveling carnival of people with special powers run by a charismatic, yet evil Earth-moving ringleader – played by Robert Knepper.
According to the report, Hudson most recently appeared in the P.J. Pesce film Smokin’ Aces prequel film Smokin’ Aces: Blowback, which is due in theaters January 2010.
