Suspense horror The Coffee Table to get North American distribution from Cinephobia

Caye Casas’s (Killing God) horrific tale The Coffee Table has been picked up for North America distribution by Cinephobia Releasing. The movie had its world premiere at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, where it won Best Film – Rebels with a Cause, and also screened at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, nabbing the White Raven Prize, along with Fantapoa Fest.

The Coffee Table centers on a middle aged couple who’ve been blessed with a newborn baby, that decide to purchase a gaudy coffee table – a decision that will dramatically change their lives. Without much on-screen violence, Casas delivers a terrifying, almost unspeakably pitch black horror film.

The Coffee Table is set for its U.S. festival premiere this September, with additional festival dates scheduled for the fall. The movie’s festival run will be followed by a DVD and Streaming release in January.
