I just watched my all-time favorite New York City based film on the big screen for the first time ever. The Taking of Pelham One Two Three brilliantly blends action, 1970s style, New York wit and politically incorrect characters, all trying to stop the hijackers of a subway train.
I feel fortunate that, while I navigated the murky waters of urban life, I found solace in movies. And I’m thankful for revival theaters such as The Loew’s Jersey for keeping the flame of American cinema alive.
