Watch Halle Berry and Tom Hanks in the extended trailer for The Matrix creators’ sci-fi epic Cloud Atlas

Warner Bros. has revealed an extended trailer for the Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana (formerly Larry) Wachowski film Cloud Atlas, which hits theaters on October 26, 2012.

Cloud Atlas is described as an exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future. In the film, one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution. The film stars Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, Ben Whishaw, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, James D’Arcy, Zhu Zhu, Xun Zhou, Doona Bae, Götz Otto, David Gyasi, Alistair Petrie, Brody Nicholas Lee, Mya-Lecia Naylor, Valerie Lillibeth, Raevan Lee Hanan, Daniele Rizzo, Robin Morrissey and Louis Dempsey.
