Universal Pictures has released a video series from Oscar-winner Oliver Stone, featuring the cast from his upcoming thriller Savages, which hits theaters on July 6th. In the Interrogation Video Series, Stone separately cross-examines the five principle characters from the film, including: Elena (Salma Hayek), the merciless queen of the Mexican Baja Cartel; Lado (Benicio Del Toro), her brutal enforcer; Chon (Taylor Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary; his best friend Ben (Aaron Johnson), a peaceful and charitable marijuana producer; and O (Blake Lively), Ben and Chon’s breathtaking muse.

Meet the Savages in this first of five sets of interrogation videos. Ben and Chon are partners, pals and very elusive. Denying all of Stone’s accusations…. for good reason. O confesses a juicy ménage-a-trois relationship. Elena admits she never wanted to take over the family business. Lado is her enforcer. He’s brutal, crazy, and wishes he was a lizard.

Savages centers on Laguna Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Johnson), a peaceful and charitable marijuana producer, and his closest friend Chon (Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary, run a lucrative, homegrown industry-raising some of the best weed ever developed. They also share a one-of-a-kind love with the extraordinary beauty Ophelia (Lively). Life is idyllic in their Southern California town… until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to move in and demands that the trio partners with them. When the merciless head of the BC, Elena (Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Del Toro), underestimate the unbreakable bond among these three friends, Ben and Chon–with the reluctant, slippery assistance of a dirty DEA agent (Travolta)–wage a seemingly unwinnable war against the cartel. And so begins a series of increasingly vicious ploys and maneuvers in a high-stakes, savage battle of wills.

Savages stars Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch and Demian Bichir. The film was directed and co-written by Oliver Stone, who shared scrip-writing duties with Shane Salerno and Don Winslow.
