Trailer and images from The Last Elvis

The Last Elvis (El Ultimo Elvis), directed and co-written by Armando Bo, takes place in the unique world of the Buenos Aires celebrity-impersonator scene, where Carlos “Elvis” Gutierrez is a divorced singer with a young daughter named Lisa Marie, who he rarely sees. Carlos has always lived his life as if he was the reincarnation of Elvis Presley – in denial of reality. As his forty-second birthday approaches, the very age Elvis was when he died, his future appears empty. However, an unexpected tragedy interrupts Carlos’ plans and forces him to grapple with his real-world responsibilities and a difficult decision.

The Last Elvis stars John McInerny, Griselda Siciliani, and Margarita Lopez, working from a script by Nicolas Giacobone and Armando Bo. The film was produced by Steve Golin, Hugo Sigman, Patricio Alvarez Casado, Victor Bo and Armando Bo.

El Ultimo Elvis will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival tomorrow, January 23rd, at 8:30 PM, at Prospector Square Theatre. Additional screenings will be held throughout the week.
