Two Mad Max films to be shot back-to-back

Twitch reports that director George Miller is planning to shoot two Mad Max movies back-to-back, the first taking the long-rumored title Mad Max: Fury Road and a sequel to be called Mad Max: Furiosa.

Tom Hardy (Bronson) recently spoke of the new films, saying “It’s a relaunch and revisit to the world, an entire restructuring. That’s not to say that it’s not picking up or leaving off from the Mad Max you know already, but it’s a nice re-take on the entire world using the same character, depositing him in the same world, but bringing him up to date by 30 years. You can expect the same amount of grit and rawness and authenticity [to my] performance.”

Hardy also said that Weta Workshop will be providing the visual effects for the Mad Max movies, but that most of the sequels will be shot with real stunts, crashes and explosions.
