Hammer Films grabs rights to action spec script Wake

Hammer Films has picked up a spec script titled Wake, written by Chris Borrelli, with Kasper Barfoed (Listetyven, Kandidaten) attached to direct, according to THR. According to the report, Wake has franchise potential and has been a described as being similar to the Transporter series of films.

Barfoed’s Danish film Kandidaten is getting remade with Sam Worthington in the lead role. He also recently contracted to helm the thriller The Numbers Station, starring Ethan Hawke.

Borrelli also wrote the supernatural thriller Whisper, and recently his spec script The Vatican Tapes sold in a bidding war to Lionsgate and Lakeshore.
