Star Wars Celebration V to celebrate 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back

Lucasfilm and Reed Exhibitions announced that planning for Star Wars Celebration V is well underway. With more than half of the show floor already sold, exhibit space is filling up quickly with all-stars from across the pop culture galaxy. Organizers cite a diverse exhibitor base of over 100 leading vendors ranging from established industry heavyweights to a wide array of smaller, independent companies – from makers and sellers of toys, costumes, and high end collectibles to greeting cards, art prints, trading cards, books and graphic novels, games, and much, much more. Participating exhibitors include: Hasbro, LEGO USA, ACME Archives, DK Publishing, eFX Collectibles, Hallmark, Mimoco, Comic Images, Museum Replicas, Random House, Rubies Costumes, Gentle Giant, Super7Store, Topps, and many more. Star Wars Celebration V will take place on August 12-15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Star Wars Celebration is the official Lucasfilm convention celebrating all things Star Wars. The Celebrations are the biggest Star Wars events held, allowing friends and families to gather to have fun and celebrate their love of the Saga. From fans who first experienced A New Hope in theaters to kids just discovering Star Wars through Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Celebration touches on anything and everything connected with that galaxy far, far away. The producers promise more interactive events than ever at Celebration V. Celebrity guests will sign in the Star Wars Celebration Autograph area as well as make presentations. The annual Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge prizes will be awarded and there will be a chance for budding filmmakers to get tips from more experienced ones.
