Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way have taken a step closer to creating a film based on the cult classic TV show The Twilight Zone, by contracting TV series Life show creator Rand Ravich to write a screenplay for the project. Aside from creating Life, Ravich directed The Astronaut’s Wife and produced Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
The original Twilight Zone ran on CBS from 1959 through 1964, and was created by host Rod Serling, who also wrote many of the episodes.
According to the report, Warner’s also distributed the 1983 Twilight Zone: The Movie, which featured segments directed by Joe Dante, John Landis, George Miller (who directed The Road Warrior) and Steven Spielberg.
