Check out this Saw VI motion poster ahead of the first trailer this week

Check out this motion poster that Yahoo! Movies just posted on their website. It’s quite a departure from traditional Saw posters, which usually have a much darker tone and feature nurses or a pig head in blood.

In the sequel, Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.

According to reports, the first trailer for Saw VI will be released this Thursday, as well.

The Kevin Greutert-directed film hits theaters on October 23, 2009, and stars Shawnee Smith, Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, Costas Mandylor, Karen Cliche, Tanedra Howard, Mark Rolston, Peter Outerbridge, James Van Patten and Shauna MacDonald.
