Christopher Nolan to direct sci-fi action film next – and it’s not another Batman movie

Christopher Nolan is currently developing his next project with Warner Brothers, an original sci-fi screenplay he wrote called Inception, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Dark Knight director would like to shoot the action film this summer for release during summer of 2010, the trade reported.

Nolan will produce the new film with Emma Thomas, who also acted as a producer on The Dark Knight.

Inception is described as…

“a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.”

So any hopes for another Batman film from the director, will just have to be put on hold. I am excited to see what he does with fresh material.
