This trailer premiered Friday at a McDonald’s website called HappyMeal.com (hey, let producers the make their coin, alright), and it’s been slowly making it’s way around the net ever since. In the sequel to the comedy hit, Stiller is joined by several stars from the original film, as well as new characters from history, including Amy Adams as famous aviator Amelia Earhart, Hank Azaria as villainous Egyptian pharaoh Ka Mun Rah, Christopher Guest as Russian tyrant Ivan the Terrible and Alain Chabat as Napoleon. Owen Wilson returns as cowboy Jedediah and Robin Williams again rides into history as Teddy Roosevelt. The storyline of the new film brings to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world’s largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collection. The sequel is being directed by Shawn Levy, who also helmed the first. The ensemble cast also features Keith Powell and Craig Robinson as Tuskegee Airmen, Thomas Lennon as Wilbur Wright, Steve Coogan as Octavius, Bill Hader as General George Armstrong Custer, Eugene Levy as Einstein, Nick Dash as Ulysses S Grant and Jon Bernthal as Al Capone.

Fox will release Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on May 22, 2009.
