Original Superman: The Movie and Casablanca among classics to be in hi-def for the first time and free have outdoor screenings to celebrate Warner Anniversary |

Warner Bros. Digital Distribution is celebrating Warner Bros.’ 85th Anniversary with the Video on Demand release of 85 modern classic films, many of which will be available for the first time in high definition in the format. Starting today, titles such as Superman: The Movie, Casablanca and Full Metal Jacket will be available via VOD from most major cable providers, as well as satellite providers DirecTV and DISH.

In addition, Time Warner Cable will celebrate the Studio’s anniversary by holding special outdoor screenings of Casablanca, Superman: The Movie and other WB films, in New York City and Los Angeles.

Outdoor Screenings
Movie fans will be able to enjoy “stars under the stars” as Time Warner Cable presents a series of free, public indoor and outdoor screenings featuring classic Warner Bros. Pictures titles. The films being shown include classics such as Superman: The Movie, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Casablanca.
