Samuel L. Jackson is set to co-star with John Cusack in the thriller 1408, Variety reported. The Dimension Films production will begin lensing this summer. 1408 is an adaptation of a series by Stephen King, from his short story collection Everything’s Eventual. The film centers on a debunker of paranormal occurrences who encounters real terror when he checks into the notorious room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel. Mikael Hafstrom (who helmed Derailed for The Weinstein Company) is set to direct, with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura producing.
