For hardcore action fans, Ong Bak stands as one of the most kinetic films to come from any Asian country, much less Thailand. Star Tony Jaa, is on his way to becoming the next Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee… or both. Well, if the trailer for Tom Yum Goong is any indication, it’s own record is about to be broken.
The sequel to Ong Bak, Tom Yum Goong, looks even more realistic and brutal than it’s predecessor.
As with the first, the story is just a diversion. Kham (Tony Yaa) must go to Australia to retrieve his stolen elephant. With the help of a Thai-born Australian detective, Kham must take on all comers, including a gang led by an evil woman and her two deadly bodyguards.
Okay whatever. Take a look at some kick-ass martial arts action from Thailand, in our Film Library RIGHT HERE »
