The Dove Foundation will produce a national television pilot focused on movie and video game reviews. Storytelling Pictures, a Michigan-based production company, will shoot the pilot in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Zondervan, the leading Christian communications company, will sponsor the program.
The as-yet-unnamed show will be co-hosted by Grand Rapids natives Rachael Ruiz, a news anchor and reporter with WOOD-TV, and Brian Burch, a senior associate with Lambert, Edwards & Associates, a Michigan public relations firm. The two will discuss current, mainstream theatrical and DVD releases using specific guidelines as review criteria. Derek Emerson, a full-time student at Grand Rapids Community College and part-time actor and model, will round out the hosts for the show. He will review current video games and report on new media.
The pilot will be broadcast in early October.
