Paramount Pictures has nabbed a sci-fi pitch from first-time writer Bobby Glickert titled Confidential Alien Project, to be produced by Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, according to HeatVision.

The story is getting the Area 51 treatment, and apparently involves alien abduction. The film will be based on Glickert’s treatment and a two-minute teaser he put together that attracted Platinum Dunes, which is currently looking for a screenwriter for the project.

Confidential Alien Project is part of a long list of alien-related sci-fi films on tap, including the Michael Bay-produced aliens-in-high-school thriller I Am Number Four, which is set up at DreamWorks; Cowboys & Aliens, which Jon Favreau is directing for DreamWorks; Sony Picture’s Battle: Los Angeles, which is due in theaters in March 2011; and Universal Pictures’ Skyline, the Colin and Greg Strause alien abduction thriller that previewed during San Diego Comic-Con last week and is scheduled for release this November.
