New behind-the-scenes clip from Tales Of The Black Freighter

Tales of the Black Freighter, the comic-within-a-comic of Dave Gibbons’ and Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen, is getting released on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, March 24th, and Empire has posted an exclusive clip from its ‘making of’ featurette, along with footage from the animated film itself.

The story follows a marooned mariner (voiced by Gerard Butler) whose crew is brutally slaughtered by the denizens of a mysterious black freighter. Convinced that the Black Freighter is headed to attack his home homeland, he sets off to attempt to warn his people. The release also includes the documentary Under the Hood, based on the fictitious autobiography of a Watchmen supporting character.
