According to EW, writer/director Bill Condon – who wrote and directed Dreamgirls – is shopping a script he wrote titled Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said? to film studios. Eddie Murphy is attached to star as the legendary comedian. According to reports, Fox Searchlight, which released Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire, is interested in the project. The studio has an existing relationship with Condon, having partnered with the director on his 2004 feature Kinsey.
