First photos from Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds surface

JoBlo has posted two of the first stills from Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming war epic Inglourious Basterds. The attached pic features Pitt sporting a nifty little moustache, playing Lt. Aldo Raine, who leads the “Basterds”. He’s a Jew from the mountains of Tennessee, that is known to the German army as Aldo the Apache. The “Basterds” are a group of Jewish-American soldiers chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis.

Inglourious Basterds is due in theaters in June of 2009, and also stars Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine , B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Samuel L. Jackson, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, Cloris Leachman, Rod Taylor, Julie Dreyfus and Maggie Cheung.
