Wonder Woman film to premiere at Comic Con in February 2009

Wonder Woman, the fourth entry in the DC Universe animated original movie series, will receive a big screen premiere at New York Comic Con on February 6, 2009 in the IGN Theater at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The 8:30 p.m. screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring members of the film’s cast and crew, including multiple Emmy Award-winning animation legend Bruce Timm, along with the celebrity voice cast members Keri Russell (Waitress, Felicity), Nathan Fillion (Desperate Housewives), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Oliver Platt (The West Wing) and David McCallum (NCIS).

Presented by Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, the all-new Wonder Woman animated original movie will be released on March 3, 2009. The feature will be available as a Single or 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The animated original movie will also be available On Demand and Pay-Per-View, as well as available for download.

In addition to the premiere, New York Comic Con welcomes Bruce Timm as a Guest of Honor. Timm joins previously-announced Guests of Honor including Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, George Perez, J. Michael Straczynski and Michael Uslan.

Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, began the production of DC Universe, a series of original animated movies, in July of 2006. This film is part of the DC Universe series of animated films, written and directed by acclaimed comic book creators and features recognizable talent. Warner Premiere will be the exclusive worldwide home entertainment distributor for all DC Universe movies, which will include a slate of 2 to 3 films per year. Superman Doomsday, Justice League: The New Frontier and Batman Gotham Knight were the first DC Universe original animated movies. Other DC properties with films in development include Justice League, Green Lantern and The Flash.
