Bone thriller adds a cop and a thief to cast

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) and Hayden Christensen (Star Wars sequels) have joined the cast of the Screen Gems crime thriller Bone Deep, which is being helmed by John Luessenhop. This will be Luessenhop’s sophomore effort after directing Lockdown in 2000.

Bone Deep was co-written by Luessenhop, Gabriel Casseus (who acted in the film Brothers in Arms, and numerous TV shows including CSI and Grey’s Anatomy), and first time writers Peter Allen and Avery Duff, and follows the story of a group of criminals who find their planned $20 million heist of a money depot interrupted by a hard-boiled detective (who will be played by Matt Dillon).

Walker will play the leader of the gang of thieves, and Christensen a young detective.

The cast of Bone Deep already includes R&B singer Chris Brown, rapper T.I. and Idris Elba (American Gangster, The Reaping, Prom Night, the upcoming RocknRolla).

Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, along with Grand Hustle and Rainforest Films, are handling production on Bone Deep, with Screen Gems handling distribution.
