On June 30th, MGM Home Entertainment will release The Betrayed on DVD. Golden Globe nominee Melissa George (In Treatment, Alias) stars as Jamie Taylor, a young woman who regains consciousness after a bad accident and finds herself held captive. To celebrate the release of this “Powerfully intense kidnapping drama”, FilmFetish is giving away two copies of The Betrayed DVD to readers.

Golden Globe nominee Melissa George (In Treatment, Alias) stars as Jamie Taylor, a young woman who regains consciousness after a bad accident and finds herself held captive. A man looms overhead, telling her that if she wishes to ever see her little boy again, she must make the ultimate sacrifice – to kill her husband. The kidnappers insist that he is actually a brutal killer who has stolen millions from their mysterious crime syndicate. With her marriage upended, her son’s life in jeopardy and no idea who she can trust, Jamie must attempt to piece together clues from her past life in an attempt to locate the stolen money and be reunited with her son before it’s too late. Synopsis
Waking up in a dark room after being knocked unconscious in a car accident and her young son nowhere in sight, Jamie Taylor (Melissa George), realizes that she has been kidnapped. Her masked captor (Oded Fehr) informs her that if she ever hopes to see her son alive again, she must help his mysterious employers. However, they’re not looking to collect a ransom; instead, the man reveals that Jamie’s husband is secretly a brutal killer who recently stole millions from his bosses. The organization will stop at nothing to retrieve the missing money, and they think that their captive is the one person who can help them find it. Chained to a grate in a cold, dark room, with her marriage upended, her son’s life in jeopardy and no idea who she can trust, Jamie must attempt to piece together clues from the life she thought she knew in order to escape this nightmare and save the lives of her beloved family.

    Lots of kids were taken in “Indiana Jones & the Temple Of Doom.” I liked that movie. If that doesn’t count, I would say “Man On Fire.” That was good too.

    My current favorite kidnap drama is Taken, which I saw recently. Some of it is farfetched, but Liam Neeson does such a great acting job that you barely realize the outlandish parts, since he has both power and vulnerability! Thanks for the chance to win The Betrayed!

    My favourite Kidnapping Drama is MISERY! I will never forget it because hubby and I rented it on July 30 1991 and about ten minutes into the movie I went into labour with my 2nd daughter! We came home with a new baby and watched it the next day!
