Spy Kids’ Alexa Vega no longer a kid in first image from Machete Kills

Spy Kids star Alexa Vega is all grown up. She’s also turning heads with this first official from Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming Machete Kills, the sequel to Mexploitation cult action flick Machete. Vega plays the very non-childlike character KillJoy in Rodriguez’s sequel, the bodyguard of a whorehouse, presumbly the one presided over by Sofia Vergara’s Madame ….

Blade Runner prequels and sequels being developed

Variety reports that Blade Runner, Ridley Scott’s cult classic sci-fi noir, is being prepped for prequel and sequel development. Alcon Entertainment is in final discussions to secure film, TV and ancillary franchise rights to the 1982 thriller, which starred Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos, M. Emmet Walsh, Daryl Hannah, William Sanderson, ….
