Superman Returns in IMAX 3D One Day Early

Superman Returns is the world’s first live-action Hollywood feature to be converted from 2D to IMAX 3D format. IMAX is using its proprietary 2D to 3D conversion technology to convert approximately 20 minutes of the film into An IMAX 3D Experience. And this eye-popping goodness will be on-screen one day earlier than it’s standard cinema counterpart. Select IMAX theaters will be holding a preview screening of Superman Returns in IMAX 3D, on Tuesday June 27, 2006, at 10:30PM.

Directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men I and II), the story begins following a mysterious absence of several years, and the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns, a new chapter in the saga of one of the world’s most beloved superheroes.
