CBS Films released a restricted trailer for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s upcoming thriller Faster. The violent new trailer is the bloodiest I’ve seen for the actor, whose been known lately for his successful comedies.
A classic revenge film, Faster centers on an ex-con who sets out to avenge his brother’s death after being double-crossed during a heist years earlier. During his bloodlust, he’s tracked by a veteran cop and an egocentric hit man. Faster is directed by George Tillman Jr. (Men of Honor, Notorious), and also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Maggie Grace, Jennifer Carpenter, Tom Berenger, Moon Bloodgood, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Xander Berkeley, Courtney Gains, Jonna Walsh, J.A. Steel, Michael Irby, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Lester Speight, Menyone DeVeaux, Matt Gerald, Annie Corley, Julia Pace Mitchell, Micaela Johnson, Marisa Saks, Josh Clark, Michole White and Jeffrey Daniel Phillips. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on November 24th.
The Rock is currently shooting Fast 5, the next chapter in the successful Fast and the Furious franchise.
