James Cameron joins Heavy Metal reboot

The new Heavy Metal anthology film has added James Cameron as a segment director, according to an interview with Kevin Eastman on Film School Rejects. Eastman, who is the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, owns Heavy Metal Magazine. Eastman also confirmed the previously rumored participation of David Fincher, Zack Snyder and Gore Verbinski as segment directors.

Heavy Metal will feature several extended vignettes, with directors taking one each and Cameron also acting as executive producer. Kung Fu Panda director Mark Osborne, is also said to be re-teaming with Jack Black for a comedy segment in the new animated film.
