Robert Rodriguez ready to crack some nerves

Robert Rodriguez is reteaming with Dimension Films for his next film, a sci-fi thriller called Nerverackers, according to Variety. Wow – Rodriguez’s name is attached to multiple fanboy projects including Barbarella, Red Sonja, Conan, Woman in Chains!, The Jetsons, as well as Sin City 2 and 3. What does this mean for all of those projects? Frank Miller even recently said in an interview that the script is complete for Sin City 2, and that he’d like to work with Rodriguez on the sequel.

Rodriguez is writing and directing Nerverackers, which has an expected release date of April 16, 2010. Does that mean it will indeed happen? According to the Variety report, it sounds like a sure thing.

The plot, set in 2085, centers on Joe Tezca who is part of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave in a theoretically perfect society.

Nerverackers is set up at Dimension, where the director has found a home for many of his past features.
