According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony and MGM are moving Quantum of Solace back one week to a new release date of November 14, 2008. The switch has everything to do with Warners’ pushing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from its November 21st launch spot.
Potter is now scheduled for next summer, on July 17, 2009, and Bond distributor’s apparently couldn’t be more pleased. Sony suits wanted a release date closer to Thanksgiving and the holiday box office season for Solace.
