Sonnenfeld to Direct Robin Williams Comedy

I found a Hollywood Reporter article that states Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld will be directing Robin Williams in the vacation comedy RV. This would mark a serious about face for Williams, who has been playing a series of dark and dangerously disturbed characters lately.

The Sony Pictures project revolves around a dysfunctional family that rents an RV that is almost as dysfunctional as they are.

Aside from the Men in Black films, Barry Sonnenfeld also directed the Addams Family movies and Get Shorty, who’s sequel, Be Cool (directed by F. Gary Gray), is about to hit theaters.

Robin William’s recent work includes One Hour Photo, Death to Smoochy, The Final Cut and the soon to be released animated film Robots (as the voice of Fender).
