Sony Pictures is in negotiations with Marvel Entertainment to turn one of its lesser-known comic characters, called Killraven, into a sci-fi tentpole release, reports Variety.
No stars are attached to the project yet.
Killraven first appeared back in the 1970s comic Amazing Adventures, one of a number of comics Marvel (and DC) had in the 1960s and 1970s which were used as a forum for shifting features from character to character, without changing the comic’s name.
Marvel head man Avi Arad has described Killraven as ‘Gladiator in the future’.
