Morgan Freeman and Driving Miss Daisy director Bruce Beresford are working together again on The Contract, an action thriller set to begin shooting in March 2005. The Millennium Film project follows a grandfather, his son and grandson who get more than they bargained for on a camping trip when they meet with a professional killer on the run. The Contract will be the first joint project for Beresford and Freeman since 1990’s Driving Miss Daisy, which won four Oscars, including best picture, and earned Freeman a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for best actor.

Freeman will also star in the Capitol Films thriller Lucky Number Slevin, with Josh Harnett, Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu and Ben Kingsley. Paul McGuigan is directing the pic, in which a case of mistaken identity lands Harnett’s character in the middle of a New York Mafia murder. The film is set to go into production in January 2005, in New York and Montreal.

It’s goingto be a busy production year for Freeman, with these projects happening back to back, and his normal publicity work for his upcoming features like Million Dollar Baby and Batman Begins.
