Oscar winner Denzel Washington (Training Day and The Manchurian Candidate) has signed on to star in the time-travel thriller Deja Vu for director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Variety reported. The trio previously teamed up for the submarine thriller Crimson Tide.

The script, by Terry Rossio (writer of Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl) and Bill Marsilli, centers around an FBI agent with the ability to travel back in time. Washington plays the agent, who falls in love with a woman destined to be murdered.

Tony Scott also has Domino coming out this August, starring Keira Knightley as the model-turned-bounty-hunter Domino Harvey.

Denzel Washington is also working on The Man Inside, a crime thriller directed by Spike Lee. That film is due in 2006.
