Shock to the System is based on a novel by Richard Stevenson, about a gay detective named Donald Strachey (Allen), who goes under cover in a therapy group for former homosexuals to investigate the murder of one of its most well-known members. The film stars Chad Allen, Sebastian Spence, Morgan Fairchild, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Rikki Gagne, Levi James, Ryan Kennedy, Darrin Maharaj, Shawn Roberts, Nelson Wong and Michael Woods.
