The special sun glasses used in the film They Live to see aliens attempting to conquer mankind are called “Hoffman Lenses.” According to the Urban Dictionary, wearing one’s “Hoffman Lenses” is to view the world through the lenses of psychedelic drugs such as LSD. Scientist Albert Hofmann discovered the drug LSD.
