Warner Bros. is currently in discussions with Martin Campbell to helm the Green Lantern adaptation of the DC superhero, according to Variety.
Campbell’s most recent projects include Casino Royale and the Mel Gibson film Edge of Darkness.
According to the report, the hot DC properties headed to the silver screen include Green Lantern and the much discussed Jonah Hex, the latter of which Josh Brolin is attached to play the lead role in a film scheduled to start production in April 2009. Hex is being directed by Jimmy Heyward, who moves from animated elephants (he directed Horton Hears a Who?) to live-action gunfighters.
Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green wrote the script for Green Lantern.
