The Astronaut Farmer, due on February 23, 2007, centers on a NASA astronaut who is forced to retire so he can save his family farm. But he can’t give up his dream of space travel and attempts to build his own rocket, despite government threats to stop him.
The film stars Billy Bob Thornton, Virginia Madsen, Bruce Dern, Tim Blake Nelson and J.K. Simmons. It is being directed by Michael Polish (Twin Falls Idaho).
