First photo released from next James Bond movie Skyfall

MGM Studios and Sony Pictures have revealed the first image from the next James Bond thriller, Skyfall, on 007’s official Facebook page.

In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

Skyfall is being directed by Sam Mendes, and stars Daniel Craig (who returns as James Bond), Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Smith, Javier Bardem, Helen McCrory, Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Ola Rapace, Rory Kinnear, Michael G. Wilson, who’s produced many of the Bond films. Wilson, along with Barbara Broccoli, is also producing Skyfall from a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.

The film will be released on October 26th in the U.K., and then on November 9th, 2012 here in the U.S.
