Untouchables Prequel in the Works

Variety reports that, in addition to the Jackie Chan and Jet Li film, Relativity will also be offering another project to buyers at the American Film Market starting tomorrow. The second is Brian De Palma’s $70 million prequel to The Untouchables, called The Untouchables: Capone Rising, which Paramount films will distribute in the U.S.

The Untouchables prequel is set to start shooting in June of 2007. Writing duo Brian Koppelman andDavid Levien wrote the script for for the movie, which charts Chicago mob boss Al Capone’s rise to power and his relationship with police detective and nemesis Jimmy Malone.
