Yahoo News posted an interesting quote from ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey about whether fans are any closer to seeing the long-discussed live-action Star Wars television series on the Disney-owned ABC network anytime soon.
“As a fan, I would absolutely love to say yes,” ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey said about a Star Wars series. “We have had conversations, and we will contintue to have conversations with Lucasfilm. It would be wonderful to extend the franchise.”
Star Wars is now being rebooted by way of a series of feature films at Disney, and Disneyland is building a massive Star Wars-themed attraction, so the idea of a series certainly makes sense for the media conglomerate.
