Toxic Avenger creator Kaufman to teach free indie filmmaking workshop

Troma Films chief and cult cinema icon Lloyd Kaufman, creator of The Toxic Avenger, has been invited by Professor Barry Wurst to visit the University of Colorado this Thursday, November 18th and Friday, November 19th, to host film screenings and to teach his famous Make Your Own Damn Movie! Master Class. Kaufman will be at UCCS from 6-10 pm on the 18th to screen The Toxic Avenger and Citizen Toxie and then host a Q & A session. He will return the following afternoon to join lunch, screen Poultrygeist and Cannibal! The Musical, and teach the indie filmmaking primer.

In the past, Kaufman has taught his Make Your Own Damn Movie! Master Class at Imperial College London, The University of Pennsylvania, USC, NYU and Yale University, among others. He also recently received an invitation to teach the workshop at Oxford University in the UK.

The Make Your Own Damn Movie! Master Class is in the Dwire building in the theater on the bottom floor. The event is free and open to the public, but not recommended for children.
