The mission of the Newport International Film Festival is to serve the community by presenting unique programs that inspire, challenge, and engage a broad and diverse audience through the art of film.
NIFF schedules over 100 screenings of feature-length narrative films, documentaries and shorts, including both international and US film premieres. The Festival is central and convenient, with many screenings taking place at the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center, which has been NIFF’s home base since its founding and has been in continuous operation since 1923.
