Jackie Chan will begin shooting Kung Fu Kid this June in China, the re-imaging of the popular classic The Karate Kid, co-starring Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith. The iconic action star will then be featured in and co-direct an action film called Chinese Zodiac with long-time collaborator Stanley Tong, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the report, Chinese Zodiac will also mark the 100 picture milestone for the performer, and will be the first time he’s directed a project since Who Am I? in 1998.

‘Zodiac’ revolves around a series of treasure hunts across the globe that are intricately linked by major events in Chinese history. The idea for the film came to Chan six years ago, but his schedule did not allow him to work on the story until now.

Filming is scheduled for this fall in France, Vienna, Hong Kong, Beijing and Kazakhstan.
