Vatican Calls For Da Vinci Code Boycott

The Hollywood Reporter has a report about The Vatican, which says it has called for a Catholic boycott against The Da Vinci Code when the film opens around the world on May 19. The boycott call was made by Archbishop Angelo Amato, the second-ranking official in the Vatican’s Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith. This office is the Vatican’s chief authority on doctrinal issues. “Catholics should boycott ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and speak out against it and reject its lies against the church,” Amato said.
