Star Trek scribes’ Cowboys and Aliens script finished – still unknown if Robert Downey Jr. will star

Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (the team who wrote the latest Star Trek film) have completed a new script for the long-in-development Cowboys and Aliens adaptation, and recently discussed the project with reporters, including Sci-Fi Wire. “We literally handed it in yesterday,” Kurtzman told reporters on August 6, adding that they’re hoping for feedback ….

Tim Roth’s Abomination character to return for more films?

Tim Roth, who played Emil Blonsky/The Abomination in The Incredible Hulk, confirmed that Marvel has discussed reprising the role with him in future films, possibly including the impending Avengers live-action film, according to Sci-Fi Wire. “They have, but in a very different way,” Roth said in a group interview at the Television Critics Association summer ….

Director Jon Favreau looking to bring Iron Man 2 to IMAX and Iron Man 3 or Avengers to 3-D

On the heels of the first 3D-imbued Comic-Con panels this year, MYV Movies reports that director Jon Favreau confirmed that there’s a good chance that Iron Man 2 will be released on IMAX screens, and that he wants to shoot either Iron Man 3 or the 2012 Avengers movie in 3-D.
