The Santa Monica International Film Festival is a competitive event that showcases the work of independent filmmakers from around the world. The event attempts to help filmmakers obtain distribution by screening films during the American Film Market, when the industry converges upon Santa Monica, during the largest film market in America, to maximize independent filmmakers’ exposure to the film buyers, sellers and distributors from around the world.
Santa Monica itself is home to a tons of restaurants, shops, and cafes, along with the world-famous Santa Monica Pier. All this combines to forge a destination event, complete with grand parties and events.
