Video of Warrington Hudlin practicing during World Tai Chi and Qigong Day 2012

On Saturday, April 28th, 2012, World Tai Chi and Qigong Day was celebrated in hundreds of cities around the world. Schools and organizations from more than 70 countries participated in the event, which encourages people to perform movements together, in order to show the world a healing image of the planet. What I witnessed in New York City’s Central Park was a diverse lineup of demonstrations, showcasing various forms of Tai Chi and Qigong, including weapons performances. The New York City event brought together practitioners from all walks of life, including: noted film and television producer Warrington Hudlin, co-creator of the urban comedy classic House Party, the Eddie Murphy comedy Boomerang & the Iron Ring TV series; actor & comedian Tim Wynn; and many other noted martial artists and supporters.

World Tai Chi and Qigong Day takes place on the last Saturday of April each year at 10 am, with local events happening all over the world.
